Kayak and Stand-Up Paddleboard Classes
Learn the skills and build the confidence you need to safely enjoy these fun recreational sports on flat and slow moving water.
Introduction to Paddling class (Kayaking and/or SUP)
Join us for this introductory class geared toward those new to the kayaking and/or SUP. You can choose to participate in one or both sections of this class. In the kayaking section, participants will learn about the importance of water safety, how the design of the watercraft affects how the vessel performs, how to enter and exit the vessel, paddle design, and a variety of paddle strokes. In the SUP section, students will become familiar with the board and equipment, gain confidence, learn proper stance and paddling technique, how to remount the board from the water (self rescue), and gain increased awareness in general water safety. The class will include instruction as well as supervised practice. It is a great way to gain the necessary skills to have fun, and be confident when participating in other paddling adventures on flat and slow-moving water.
